      • Cape Town, home to Table Mountain, African penguins, sunshine and sea, is a world-renowned tourist destination. But it could also become famous for being the first major city in the world to run out of water.

Most recent projections suggest that its water could run out as early as March. The crisis has been caused by three years of very low rainfall, coupled with increasing consumption by a growing population.

      • Surrounded by the Atlantic- to the west and the Indian Ocean to the east, water as far as the eye reaches, but nothing to drink! As it looks, March, April could be D-day. Drought conditions ebbed and flowed over centuries, and in accordance to historical patterns was always managed by highly learned experts in this field. There are two causes that are responsible for this unfolding disaster; a. As from 1994, the new government under the "revolutionary" ANC has purged the Departments of Water Works of near to all indigenous white specialists in this field. With insufficient schooling and qualifications, posts where handed out to the new ruling dispensation and its "comrades". By not knowing what their don't know, the running of such complex structure become rapidly erratic. The expression: "running around like a chicken without a head", does explain the situation in the mildest terms. The rest, as they say, is history. b. With the Western Cape having become a desirable destination for the rich and famous, industry expanding moderately and fruit and wine farms offering employment, masses amount of people from other provinces arrived in the hope to escape the desolation and pitiful circumstances their had to endure in the territories ruled over by the ANC. [The Western Cape is under Democratic Alliance {DA} governance.] It is estimate that over two decades in excess of 2000 people came to the Cape. This does not include the thousand of people the ANC bussed in to bolster voters for the ANC to unseat the DA. With more wine and beer then consumable water in store, we are looking forward to exiting times. I will keep you posted.

My apology. I meant to say "2000 people month"

      • This is what 24 years of black majority rule has done to what was once the greatest nation in Africa. They are merely reaping what they have sown. I just hope that the remaining whites can get out safely.
