• Leftist magazine cover calls for Trump assassination: 'Why Not'
..
This "newspaper" needs to clean up Irelands own back yard before it tries to stick its nose in others back yard. You do not even have a Nation you are cowardly enough to allow Britain to keep hold of a part of your country. Why don't let us all see how brave you are by telling Britain to get the hell out of your country. You are nothing but traitors to your own country and yet have the gall to incite some screwball to kill the president of another country and the leader of the free world to boot. I hope that you are arrested and put away for a good many years. You are terrorists in the full sense of the word and do not belong in a civilised society. Shame on the lot of you at that "newspaper" hang your heads in shame you gutless cowards.

• Three people dead and at least 25 injured by motorist run amok in Melbourne
Dimitrious Gargasoulas is not a Kurd. His father is Greek and his mother is Tongan. His religion was not reported but his Face Book posts are rants about God, hell, the Devil, the Ten Commandments and how the Illuminati, scientologists and Freemasons were taking over the world. At one stage he said he was a "Greek Islamic Kurdish follower of Yazdanism" which makes no sense. Yazdanism is not Islam, it is the religion that Kurds followed before Islam, it involves a belief in reincarnation and worshiping the Sun God Mithra. When he was running people down he was quoting passages from the Bible while referring to God as "the Gods". A nut job plain and simple.

• DHS Secretary John Kelly: 'The Threat is Real'; 'Thousands of Fighters' Available to Infiltrate
"There are thousands of fighters who are available and have -- we have pretty good confidence -- have the kind of papers that could get them passed into Western Europe, and certainly, by extension, into the United States," Homeland Security Secretary Gen. Jack Kelly told Congress on Tuesday.

"So the threat is real." Kelly said President Trump's executive order on immigration, issued on Jan. 27, is a "pause" that will give Kelly, working with the CIA and the Departments of Defense, Justice and State, "an opportunity to step back and decide what additional vetting we might add to what we already have, which is minimal, in my view. And then come out of that and say, these are the new rules."

Kelly said some of the seven countries listed in President Trump's temporary entry ban may remain on the list because they are in such chaos. Those countries are Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Yemen and Sudan.

"I believe that the travel pause from all of those countries will give us time to evaluate those countries and the information they can provide us, which will ultimately lead to safety for the American people."

• Trump considering naming Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist group
A logical case that could be made in support of this, would be that: IRGC has conspired with and aided Hezbollah. But if you are going to designate Iranian IRGC a terrorist organization, the IDF, Israel's military, would also have to be designated one as well. In Syria, IRGC-Hezbollah are fighting al-Qaeda and ISIS. In Syria, IDF-Mossad are aiding al-Qaeda and ISIS.

• Afghan officials say suicide bomber kills at least 19 in Kabul
A suicide bomber on Tuesday targeted the Supreme Court building in the Afghan capital, Kabul, killing at least 19 people, officials said.

Ismail Kawasi, the public health ministry spokesman, said 41 people were also wounded in the explosion, which hit near a side door used for court employees to leave the building at the end of the work day.

Najib Danish, deputy spokesman for the Interior Ministry, said not all the victims have been identified yet but that an investigation was underway.

The attacker was on foot and detonated his suicide vest packed with explosive near the employees and other people as they were coming out of the main court building, Danish added.

• Afghan Government Adopts New Strategy to Reach Reconciliation With Taliban
As the Afghan government struggles to deal with instability in the country, it prepared a plan envisaging direct talks with the Taliban in order to reach reconciliation.

The High Peace Council (HPC), the Afghan government body set up for negotiations with the Taliban, has defined a new settlement strategy that rules out participation of the third countries in the peace talks process, local media reported Sunday citing the HPC spokesman.

"We are trying to find ways that could help us engage in direct talks with the Taliban in order to bring them to the negotiating table and to reach comprehensive reconciliation through inter-Afghan dialogue," the HPC spokesman Mohammad Ismail Qasimyar said as quoted by the TOLOnews broadcaster.

The Afghan Security forces carry out special operations against the Taliban on regular basis. On Sunday only, the government troops killed at least 54 militants in an operation in the southern province of Helmand.
