The Amazon shipping service is horrible (AMZL_US). I had a very important package scheduled to be delivered yesterday. It never showed up (it was promised by 8:00 p.m. latest) so I went on Amazon to check the status of it and it said delivery attempted... and that they brought it back to the original carrier facility (which is far away). What's up with that? Usually they always just leave it at my doorstep or in the mailbox, but I'm not sure if that was ever this new AMZL service or just UPS. Either way I'm not very happy with paying for prime, expecting it to be delivered in 2 days as promised, and then it to say delivery attempt and then bring it back all the way to Phoenix. Also I should note that there was no letter left at my doorstep saying that they attempted delivery, not even an email from Amazon. I'm the one who had to contact them. Enough of my ramble... I'm curious, has this happened to anyone else??

      yes me too

    • I am highly dissatisfied with Amazon's delivery service as well as its customer service call center. I ordered a same day delivery and was surprised to see that the carrier was AMZL_US. This was my first and hopefully last experience with this delivery svc. I happened to not be home when the driver attempted to deliver so I checked my online acct and viewed the alternate delivery methods. I chose to have it redelivered the next day and the driver lost my package a mere two hrs later. I've never had this happen before so I called the customer service center and ended up speaking with people who could barely speak English. I asked to be transferred to a super who refused to speak with me after about 20 mins of waiting. His name was "Emman" according to the call specialist, and they also claim to be based in the Philippines which I found hard to believe because I spoke with nothing but Indian people a total of 3 times. So I offered a refund, which I accepted begrudgingly-- I ordered the stuff for a reason after all!

So I have to wait 5-7 days for the money to go back into my acct before I can reorder my stuff. I asked the c/s if I could request another delivery method due to my dissatisfaction with the "behind the scenes" process-- I love the website but would like to avoid the drivers/customer svc people at all costs-- and I was told the delivery method is randomly chosen. Needless to say, I'm pissed. I've been an avid user of the website since 2011 but I might just have to find a new go-to online option to avoid these people.

I have the same kind of problems with Amazon orders regardless of who the shipper is. Amazon went from a 7-month-long boycott to a probationary period (which they promptly fucked up) and back to permanent boycott status within the past few weeks. Fuck them.

Yeah they're really hurting from all that business you cost them.

Certainly their black dildo department is making cutbacks as a result.

    • AMZL US is awful, I ordered a hopper for my great grandson that was never delivered. Even though I got tracking notice stating that it was delivered on February 26 at 1:40 pm. I never received the hopper. I either want my money back or send me the blue hopper horse.

So yes, there is a problem with the AMZL_US service, which is Amazon's delivery service. The problem is localized to whoever Amazon hired to deliver their packages in your area. Quite literally it is a average person carting Amazon packages in their own car. I have seen one driver pull up in a beat up Honda, filled to the brim with packages, and with his mother manning the GPS. Nothing wrong with it (except security), but some of these people scan items as delivered to meet a delivery quota, mainly because they can't make it in time (before 8-9pm). They will scan it as delivered and either deliver it very very late (> 8pm) or early next morning. Its something Amazon is aware of, let them know you are having a problem if its happening more often than usual.

Seems like Amazon is now using some Uber / 1099 contracting business model to deliver packages?

They probably don't actually make them. Amazon is probably buying generic products from a contract manufacturer in Asia, and slapping the AmazonBasics logo on them.

This has been happening for a while now. The OnTrac drivers also scan shit as delivered when it's not.

    • AMZL is absolutely the most incompetent "service" ever created. Four attempts in four days to deliver a package saying the business was closed, meanwhile the USPS delivered three packages to the same address.

I called yesterday requesting to be delivered today, not. So simple you would think?? Prime or no prime their new carrier service sucks. I could of gone to Disney in less time it took for this . It was a surprise for Easter . They really screwed up. Never had an issue with FedEx or ups . Just this no frills shit

    • AMZL_US Is a joke! I have had dozens of packages delivered to a mailroom that UPS, FedEx, and USPS never had problems with. These jokers could seem to figure out when the place is open...for the last 3x they tried to deliver it! I only the hours where posted in plain sight, oh wait they are! What a pathetic roll out of a service. I hope they hold the person responsible for this mess accountable - I intent to. I'm not ordering another thing from them until I buy $645.50 (10x the price of my order) from other online retailers that I would have normally ordered from Amazon. When I called customer service about this they didn't volunteer the info that it was their in house attempt as a delivery service - no wonder with the amour of bad comment on the forums.
